Suno AI Music Prompt Generator

Pick your genre, the artist you want it to sound like, the vocals, the mood, the tempo — then generate a copy-paste Suno prompt and a lyrics structure. Paste it into Suno and create.

Three steps to a Suno prompt

01

Pick your options

Genre, sound-like artist, vocals, mood, tempo, key, and a song theme — as much or as little as you want.

02

Generate

Get a Style-field prompt plus a lyrics structure with metatags, ready to copy.

03

Paste into Suno

Style prompt into the Style field, structure into the Lyrics field, then create your song.

The clever part: when you pick an artist to sound like, the generator doesn't write their name (Suno rejects those) — it translates them into the production descriptors that actually recreate their sound. That's why the prompts work where copy-pasted "make it sound like [artist]" prompts fail.

Suno prompt generator, answered

How does the Suno prompt generator work?

You pick a genre and, optionally, an artist to sound like, plus vocals, mood, tempo, key, and a song theme. The generator combines them into a Suno-ready Style-field prompt and a lyrics structure with metatags. Copy both and paste them into Suno. It's free with no signup.

Can I make a Suno prompt that sounds like a specific artist?

Yes — but not by naming the artist, because Suno blocks real artist names. Pick the artist in the 'sound like' menu and the generator translates them into Suno-safe production descriptors (for example, Drake becomes 'OVO Sound, Toronto rap, melodic trap, warm 808, atmospheric reverb'). That gets you the sound without the rejected name.

Is the Suno prompt generator free?

Yes, completely free. No account, no signup, no limit on how many prompts you generate. Everything runs in your browser.

What do I do with the lyrics structure it gives me?

It's a scaffold of section metatags — [Intro], [Verse], [Chorus], [Bridge] and so on — in the order that fits your chosen structure. Write your lines under each tag, keeping each tag on its own line, then paste it into Suno's Lyrics field. You can also run raw lyrics through the Lyrics Arranger to auto-place the tags.

Which Suno version do these prompts work with?

They're written for Suno v5, which reads detailed style descriptors and metatags reliably. They also work on v4 and v4.5, though older versions follow the vocal and structure cues a little less precisely.
