Questions

Probably what you're wondering.

MixMasterAI is a free online mixing and mastering tool. Upload a raw song, pick a genre or character preset, and get a release-ready master in under 60 seconds. The engine analyzes your track, applies genre-matched EQ, compression, stereo processing, and reference mastering, then normalizes to your streaming platform's loudness target. Powered by AI and professional open-source audio tools.

Yes. Unlimited tracks, WAV and MP3 downloads, no watermark, no account required, no trial, no credit card. We don't run a paid tier. The site is mixmasterai.co and it stays free.

Most tracks finish in 30 to 60 seconds. A 3 minute song typically takes about 45 seconds from upload to finished download.

WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, AIFF, and AIF. The engine converts everything to 44.1 kHz, 24 bit stereo WAV internally before processing, so the source format doesn't affect quality.

50 MB per track. That covers a full length 24 bit WAV for nearly any song under about 8 minutes.

Yes, and we go further than any other platform for AI music. When you upload a Suno, Udio, Mureka, or ElevenLabs track, select that platform in the AI Source picker before mastering. Our Humanizer runs first and removes the specific codec artifacts each platform imprints: the 400-800Hz mud, the 5-8kHz fizz, smeared transients, artificial dynamics, and over-wide stereo. After humanizing, the full mastering pipeline runs on top. The result sounds like a real recording, not an AI export. No other free mastering platform does this.

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, TikTok, Amazon Music, and Tidal. Each target uses the correct LUFS loudness target and a true peak safety ceiling, so your master plays back at the right level on each platform.

LUFS is the industry standard loudness unit used by streaming platforms. If your master is too loud or too quiet, platforms automatically adjust playback volume, which can kill punch and dynamics. We normalize to each platform's actual target (Spotify at -14 LUFS, Apple Music at -16, SoundCloud at -9, TikTok at -13, and so on) so your master plays back at the intended level.

No. Open mixmasterai.co, drag a song in, pick a character or genre, download the result. No sign up, no email, no billing.

No. Nothing added, nothing stamped, nothing faded out at the end. The output is the complete master at the loudness target you selected.

Sixteen base genres cover Pop, Hip-Hop, Trap, R&B, Rock, Metal, EDM, Lo-Fi, Country, Jazz, Acoustic, Folk, Latin, Afrobeats, K-Pop, Indie, and Classical Crossover. You can also blend any two genres up to 50% using the blend slider.

Characters are one click recipes. Universal is balanced and neutral. Fire pushes punchy lows and midrange bite. Clarity lifts the high end. Tape adds analog warmth with saturation. Punch is aggressive and loud for hip hop. Stadium is wide and triumphant. Broadcast is tuned for vocals and podcasts. Dance is pumping sub and scooped mids. Each character picks its own EQ, compression, saturation, reverb, and loudness push.

Yes. Pick a primary genre, optionally pick a secondary, and drag the blend slider between 0 and 50 percent. The spectral target, loudness, stereo width, and reverb interpolate between the two so the result sits between them.

Yes. Use the Broadcast character preset. It applies a narrow band de esser, presence boost around 3 kHz, a high pass filter to tame rumble, and fast compression for tight dynamics. It's tuned for solo vocals and spoken word content.

Not yet. MixMasterAI assumes you are uploading a finished stereo mix. Stem aware processing is on our roadmap.

First we extract tempo, key, current loudness, stereo width, dynamic range, and a six band spectral fingerprint. Our AI engine then compares those features to the target genre reference and builds a concrete processing plan: EQ curves, compression ratios, stereo widening amount, reverb settings, and limiter behavior. The audio pipeline executes that plan and delivers your finished master.

Your upload lives on our server only for the duration of the job. No human listens, no audio is used to train any model, and your download links expire after 24 hours. You can request deletion of the source file at any time.

Yes. You own your music. MixMasterAI claims nothing about it. Release it to streaming platforms, sell it, license it for video, play it on radio, or use it for any commercial purpose.

Mastering adjusts tonal balance, dynamics, and loudness to match a professional reference. Expect tighter low end, clearer mids, a bit more air on top, and roughly 6 to 10 dB more perceived loudness. If you prefer a more transparent result, try the Natural character, which keeps original dynamics and applies minimal EQ.

Every master run is independent, free, and fast, so the easiest path is to click the next character card you want to try and drop the same file in again. We are working on an in session reprocess button that will skip the second upload.

The audio stack is Matchering (reference matched mastering, MIT licensed), pedalboard (Spotify's DSP library, GPL 3.0), librosa (analysis), pyloudnorm (EBU R128 loudness), soundfile, and scipy. The decision layer uses the Claude API. The frontend is Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Radix primitives, and WaveSurfer.js. Everything user facing is free and stays free.
