Suno mastering prompts: make a better source
There is no prompt that masters an audio file you already exported. Prompts can guide the arrangement and mix Suno generates; mastering happens afterward, on the finished audio. Use these ideas while generating, then listen critically to what Suno actually produced.
Three useful directions to try
Tighter low end
Defined kick and bass with separate roles, clean sub-bass, no boomy low mids.
Check the result on small speakers; a broad mastering EQ cannot fix every bass note independently.
More dynamic arrangement
Natural contrast between verse and chorus, punchy transients, avoid constant maximum loudness.
Generating a less-squashed source gives mastering more room to work.
Prompt wording is a creative suggestion, not a guarantee that Suno will follow every mix instruction.
Once the song is generated
- Choose the strongest take and export the cleanest finished stereo audio available.
- If the source clips, crackles, or has a buried part, fix that before mastering where possible.
- Upload it to the Suno mastering tool, choose a release direction, and compare the free preview against the original.
- Download the WAV or MP3 with an active membership only if the result works for your song.
